On February 20, 2025 there was an Unveiling Ceremony to Commemorate Frederick Douglass’ birth in Talbot County, MD– Lt. Governor Aruna Miller along with Maryland Transportation Secretary Paul J. Wiedefeld, unveiled a historic sign marker commemorating the birthplace of Frederick Douglass in Talbot County. Elected officials and descendants of Frederick Douglass also participated in the event. The marker is in Talbot County at the intersection of Rt 303 and Trappers Corner Road.
